History of the cattery
I acquired my first Persian "Meïkyo des Flocons de Lune"in February,
1997. He is a cream smoke Persian : beautiful and rare color.
But Meïkyo is far from the Persian's
standard, so he cannot participate to any feline exhibition and can't be involved in a breeding program. So, he has been neutered. Anyway, we haven't stopped loving him
for february 1997,
just as much as at the
first day we saw him.
I experimented my grooming on him ! Poor Meïko, he was so patient !
During my first show with Meïko's breeder, I met Hélène and Florence
Teulade (persian breeders-"Home Animalier du Bourset").
Daily, Hélène gave me all the advice* necessary for breeding persian cats.
I thus acquired a Show quality harlequin
female Ometechtli Nid des Abbarides Du Fort at my friends Annie and Patrick Aguilera's cattery and thus I decided to create my own cattery.
But I had to choose my cattery's name ?
I
have to thank Helene for my cattery’s name,
however, instead of choosing her first
name "Hélène" I opted for Les Laines (Wools).
As I wanted to breed particolor persians as well, I added the "Blanc" (white).
So thus, The Cattery Des Laines Blanches (Of White Wools) was born.
I hope that you will appreciate my breeding program.
This has been my daily programme for the past four years.
Persian cats are far from being big teddy bears with a lot of fur, it is
necessary to ask the following questions before purchasing one. Such as :
Will you have time to clean Its Eyes each day, to brush
it, and
groom it at least once a month?
Will you have time to give some news to his breeder regularly
Will you have time to take it to the vet regularly ?
Will you have time to choose the best food for it ?
If you can answer "YES" to
these questions...
